John Wright of the Black Hills explorers from Farmers Creek township, returned home last Saturday, completely cured of the fever. He tells a deplorable story of hardship and privation, and is of the opinion that the whole thing is a first class swindle. He says he met Colum Billups and some more of the Maquoketa boys, and that Colum had his nose and ears frozen. To all appearances this Black Hills furor is a repitition of the Pike's Peak disappointment, only more so. -Sentinel
