January 5, 1871Father Gaffney, of Otter Creek, will be in Maquoketa next Sabbath, and celebrate Mass in Taubman’s Hall. It is the intention of our Catholic friends to begin the erection of a church before long, and we hope our citizens will subscribe liberally to help the matter along.
