Sterling (Ill.) Standard; “The Constitution of the United States and American Catholics,” was the subject of a most eloquent and able discourse by the Rev. J. F. Bowen of Delmar, Ia. The address showed Father Bowen to be a man of liberal mind, a high order of intelligence, a scholar and a thinker. The address was one of the best things of the evening and it was often punctuated with outbursts of applause which must have been genuinely gratifying to the speaker.
