Plat of the Town of Maquoketa, Jackson County, Iowa, dated October 1, 1850, recorded October 10, 1850, in Book E, Page 207, Office of the Recorder of Jackson County, Iowa.

State of Iowa, County of Jackson, ss:

Be it rememberedthat on this first day of October, A.D., 1850, appeared before me, Frederick Scarborough, Clerk of the District Court in said county and state, the undersigned proprietors of the within Town of Maquoketa, and acknowledged that they have laid off the within Blocks and Lots and Public Squares, as platted above and numbered for the purpose of selling town lots.
