Jackson Sentinel, August 2, 1894:
A shocking accident happened on the farm of Conrad Reeg, five miles west of Bellevue, Tuesday evening. Mrs. Reeg was milking the cows when one of the farm teams that had been used in the hay field ran away, and ran over Mrs. Reeg, injuring her fatally, it is feared. Two or three doctors from Bellevue were summoned, but when last heard from the injured lady had not rallied nor regained consciousness.
