Maquoketa Record, November 14, 1906:

On Friday evening next, the Rev. S.F.Millikan will deliver an illustrated lecture in the Congregational Church, giving a vivid description of his recent travels in Europe and the Holy Land, for benefit of the united Sunday schools of the city. Admission 25 cents, children under high school age 15 cents. Go and hear it.

Rev. S.F.Millikan occupied the pulpit in the M.E.Church Sunday morning. He took for his text the cry of the Saviour in the Garden of Gethsemine, and gave an interesting interpretation of them.

(Rev. Silas Franklin Millikan is the father of Robert A. Millikan, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1923.)
