Bagged Near Green Island...Wolf, Caught In Trap, Shot.
This wolf, shown by Joe Schlect of near Bellevue, was bagged near Green Island recently. The animal is shown here, in lifelike stance, caught in a double spring trap. The wolf had made off with the trap on a Sunday and was shot the following Wednesday. Since this critter was bagged, several farmers in the Bellevue area have reported wolves in their neighborhoods.
