JENSEN-EVERS
As a gentle surprise to their many friends Miss Rose Frances Evers and Gene John Jensen came to the Reformed church parsonage on Wednesday, December 23, and were united in marriage at 6 p.m. by the bride's pastor, Rev. D.F. Boomershine. They were unattended.
The bride is a daughter of Theodore H. and Minnie Timm-Evers of South Vermont street, Maquoketa, is an amiable young woman and well fitted by nature and training to become the better half of the man of her choice. She wore a pretty wedding gown of tan serge ensemble style.
The groom is a son of Peter and Christina Jensen, was an officer in the world war and served overseas. He is now a member of the electrical and plumbing firm of Joles & Jensen on N. Main street, and is a thrifty and exemplary young man. He work a neat gray business suit. The happy couple ate their wedding supper at the bride's home. These worthy young people go to housekeeping at the beginning of the New Year in the bachelor quarters of the groom at 115 N. Main street where their many friends join in wishing them a long, happy and prosperous life.
