JOHN BECK DIES;
RITES ARE HELD
John Beck, 78, of Maquoketa, died Wednesday in the Jackson County Public hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mr. BECK were held at ten o'clock Friday morning in the Carson funeral home. The Rev. alvern Kinrade, pastor of the First Baptist church, conducted the services. Interment was made in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mr. BECK was born July 11, 1874, in Jackson county, a son of the late John and Elizabeth KECK BECK.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Wurster of Maquoketa, and four brothers, Henry, William and Gottlieb, all of Maquoketa, and Chris of San Diego, Calif.
