AGED MOTHER IS LAID TO REST NEAR BELLEVUE

Funeral Rites Held This Afternoon for Mrs. Jane Jones
----Passed Away Sunday
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at the Buchner chapel for Mrs. Jane Jones who died in this city Sunday. The Rev. H.H. Dill, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated. Burial was made in the Hazen cemetery between Bellevue and Green Island.
Mrs. Jane Conwell Jones, 89, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Wilgus, 110 W. James street, with whom she had made her home for the past few months. The deceased was born in Ohio, June 27, 1842, and when 17 years of age came with her parents to Iowa, settling in Jackson County, which has since been her home. Her husband, Alfred Jones, died April 24, 1924, and since that time she had made her home with her children.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Chandler of Bellevue, Mrs. Wm. Wilgus of Maquoketa; one son, Wm. Jones of Delmar, and nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
