FUGLSANG-WESTPAHL NUPTIALS SOLEMNIZED AT DAVENPORT TODAY

The wedding of Miss Sarah Fuglsang of Davenport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.H. Fuglsang of Maquoketa, and Arnold Westphal of Rock Island, son of Charles Westphal of Maquoketa, was solemnized at high noon Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the home of Mrs. Jessie Pain, 410 East Rusholme street, Davenport. Rev. Walter Upton, pastor of Edwards Congregational church officiated at the single ring ceremony. The couple was unattended.
The bride was attired in a steel blue gown, with black accessories , her flowers were gardenias. The bride's mother wore a hunters green dress with black accessories and a corsage of Talisman roses.
The wedding luncheon was served at the home of Mrs. R. Plath, 324 West High
street, Davenport, with covers laid for sixteen. The table was decorated in peach and
silver, the centerpiece being a two tiered wedding cake.
Following the luncheon the couple left on a wedding trip, and after Oct. 1 they will be
at home at 410 19th St., Rock Island, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Westphal are both graduates of the local high school. Mrs. Westphal is a
Past Noble Grand of Scott Zedoka Rebekah lodge of Davenport and also a Past President
of the Davenport Ladies Auxiliary to the Patriarchs Militant.
Those attending the wedding from Maquoketa were Mr. and Mrs. P.H. Fuglsang and son
William, Charles Westphal, Mr. and Mrs. Will Specht and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Schlegel.
The couple have a large circle of friends in this community who extend their conratulations.
