While S. L. Baker, an attorney of Maquoketa, was at dinner;last Friday, in the room adjoining his office, a man silently entered his office, opened the safe, the “day-lock” only being bolted, and took therefrom $163 in greenbacks. Fortunately, other parties had seen the fellow enter and leave the office. And in twenty minutes he was under arrest, the money being found on his person. His name is William Garner.
