REV. PICKERING GOES TO CEDAR RAPIDS CHURCH

Rev. and Mrs. Guy Pickering have returned from Fairfield where they attended the conference of the Free Methodist Church.

The Rev. Pickering, who had been pastor of the local Methodist church for the past two years, has been transferred to Cedar Rapids, and the Rev. Eveland of Cedar Rapids, who has been having leave of absence from church work, will assume the duties of the church in the Maquoketa and Iron Hill churches.

The Rev. Pickering will deliver his farewell address Sunday morning. The people of the community regret that this family is leaving, but wish them success in their new location, and extend a hearty welcome to the Rev. Eveland.
