CHARLES "HOOT" GIBSON

Charles "Hoot" Gibson , arraigned in district court Monday on a charge of violating a personal injunction against selling of liquor, for which he was convicted with his employer and both fined $300.00 and costs last fall, was assessed and ordered to pay a fine of $200.00 or serve thirty days in the county jail, the resident judge rendering the decision.

He is now in the county jail and it is not probable, it is said, that he will be able to pay the fine. Sheriff E. R. Cooke captured him near Toronto, where he was living in a tent and conducting his illicit business. He claims to reside in Baldwin, Jackson County.
