MAQUOKETA LADY NAMED TO COMMITTEE

At the democratic state convention held in Des Moines last week, Mrs. W. J. Pendray of Maquoketa was named to the committee of Permanent Organization from the second district. Mrs. Pendray's ability as a party worker and organizer has long been recognized by the political leaders and the democrats of our city and county should respond to the honor conferred on a Jackson county lady by helping to perfect an organization here at home that will do justice to the democratic strength which is amply sufficient to do things and get things if team-work is utilized.
