Jackson Sentinel, Maquoketa, Iowa, March 3, 1898

Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Goodenow took dinner at D. H. Anderson's yesterday and looking out over the growing city, Mr. Goodenow, the founder of Maquoketa, remarked that it was 60 years ago the 10th of March that he settled here.
