G.E. REYNER, Ozark; was born in Montgomery Co., Md., in 1832; in early life, received a liberal education, and learned manufacturing; removed, with his parents, in 1850, and has resided in Jackson Co. the greater part of the time since. He married in Jones Co., Iowa, Miss Hannah L. Mackrill; they have three children – Joel Z., S. Winfield and Mary. Mr. Reyner is a Republican in politics, and was Justice of the Peace six years in Jones Co. He owns 160 acres of land. He is a public-spirited citizen, and takes an active part in any enterprise, public or private, that gives promise of developing the public interests of the country; a resident of Iowa since 1850, and for several years engaged with his father, John Reyner, in the manufacture of woolen goods at Canton, Maquoketa and Ozark. - 1879 History of Jackson County Iowa, pg. 762.
