JOHN A. HUNTER, farmer, Sec. 34; P.O. Cottonville; born Feb. 13, 1839, in Trumbull Co., Ohio; in 1849, he came, with his parents, to Jackson Co.; he owns eighty acres land. Married Melissa Campbell in 1859; she was born in Pennsylvania; have four children - Charles, William, May and Byron. – 1879 History of Jackson County Iowa, pg 690.
