SHOULD BE GIVEN A SECOND TERM

Mrs. Carolyn C. Pendray, the Democratic candidate for a second term as state representative from Jackson County, was in town Friday and Saturday in the interest of her candidacy.

Mrs. Pendray is the first woman to be elected to the state legislature of Iowa. At the close of the 43rd general assembly it was said of her that she had been a valuable member. For 20 years Mrs. Pendray was a successful school teacher, seven years of which she served as county superintendent of schools of Henry County.

She is admirably fitted to again serve the best interests of Jackson County and of the State of Iowa. Her election will be in recognition and an award of her ability, courage and efficiency.
