Edgar P. Farr, Nominee for Iowa Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Edgar P. Farr, the Democratic nominee for Superintendent of Public Instruction, was born near this city, and is about 29 years of age. He is the son of our esteemed citizen, Daniel T. Farr, one of the most active and conservative Democrats in old Jackson. Edgar was graduated at the University at Valparaiso, Indiana, and is now the principal of the Normal school at Shenandoah. A ripe scholar and a man of sterling merits, is an educator of recognized force, who stands high in the educational interests of the state. Old Jackson should give him not less than 1,200 majority.
