Seventy-eight years in one town is a long time, but that is the record of Will Reeve who has lived here all his life. He was born in Maquoketa on March 2, 1860.
A charter member of the Maquoketa fire department, he served as a member of the Fire Kings for 44 years until the reorganization of the department ten years ago. He was one of the original men on Alf Hurst’s crack hose team which made records all over the state in the late eighties.
An expert tinner, he was employed for many years with Trout Hardware Co. Mr. and Mrs. Reeve live at 316 North Walnut street.
