TO THE AFFLICTED.- Mrs. C. A. Gibbs, the celebrated magnetic physician, will visit Maquoketa on tomorrow. Mrs. Gibbs is said to be performing the most wonderful cures on record. The blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk, crooked limbs are straightened, cancers and tumors are cured, old chronic diseases of long standing, yield to her treatment in a manner that astonishes all beholders. Mrs. Gibb’s works have been too long before the public to require comment. She has been permanently located in Sterling for more than one year, where she has gained the confidence and respect of the entire community, and thousands have been witnesses to the many wonderful cures performed by her. I hereby state for the benefit of the inhabitants of Maquoketa and vicinity that I have been suffering for two years from dropsy and heart disease, have doctored a great deal, but kept getting worse, until about two weeks since I called on Mrs. Gibbs at the Decker House, and have been so much benefited by her treatment that I consider myself almost entirely cured in this short space of time.
