November 12, 1907Our fellow townsman, Harvey Reid has been honored by being appointed Assistant on Territorial Militia and Mexican war record. Mr. Reid is a historian having a nose for prowling amongst mostly war record and is without doubt the best posted man in this part of the state on topics pertaining to the early history of Iowa and kindred subjects. The appointment is a very wise one as he will be of much assistance in the work of compiling the statistics and records of that kind.
