Anton and Mary Schlegr

SHLEGR, SCHLAGER, SLAGER JILEK, JILAK

I am begining my search for Mary (Jilek/Jilak) Schlegr in Iowa County.

My first clue as to her marriage was a license application notice that was this taken from the local papers:

JILAK, Mary & SHLEGR, Anton Dec 1871

I keep finding an Anton and Mary Slager in the area but they do not appear to fit the family I am looking for.

The Mary I am looking for was born in Bohemia in 1852/1853, came to the US in 1854, lived 11 years in Linn county, moved to the Amanas and left there to marry a bohemian.

This does NOT fit the Mary Slager (born abt. 1840) and Anton (born abt. 1842) that I keep finding.

Any information is appreciated.
