Well, this looks to be a pretty elusive family! If you don't have the 1880 census record for Fredericka and Ludwig Gorsh, I believe I found it. Had to use a first name only search to find it since it was indexed under "Torsh." Looking at the enumerator's handwriting, I believe he wrote "Jorsh" and the transcribers got it wrong. The info:

1880 Census, Iowa Co, Amana Twp, South Amana, pg 146, 7 Jun 1880, Dwelling 141
Family 263
Jorsh, Ludwig, 51, married, Laborer
Jorsh, Frederika, 60, wife, Keeping House
Family 264
Wiegman, John, 33, widowed, Teamster
Wiegman, August, 7, son (daughter crossed-out)
Wiegman, Minna, 4, daughter
All, including the children, were born in Mecklenburg, as were their parents.

Interesting the Wiegman's (Wichmann's?) lived in the same dwelling. Obviously there is a big Mecklenburg connection.

Also found a couple of marriage indexes on familysearch.org. One shows August Wichmann as the father and Frederieka/Fredericka/Fredericke Hopp as the mother. The other shows Ludwig Gorsh as the father. I'll send that info separately.

We have a complete transcription of all of the Amana cemeteries, so I'm not sure why Ludwig Gorsh doesn't show up.
