MIDDLE AMANA -- Johanna "Jennie" Reihman, 90, of Amana, formerly of Middle Amana, died Thursday afternoon, March 4, 2004, in Colonial Manor Care Center following a brief illness. Services: 1 p.m. Sunday, Middle Amana Community Church, by Elder Betsy Momany. Burial: Middle Amana Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be donated to the Amana Church Society or the charity of the donor's choice.

Survivors include a son, Thomas and wife Peggy of Bozeman, Mont.; a daughter, Mary Ann Reihman and husband Craig Clark of El Macero, Calif.; two grandchildren, Michael Reihman and Christine Willison; four great-grandchildren, Kami Reihman, Breanna Reihman, Julia Willison and Brandon Willison; and a brother, Charles J. Kippenhan of Seattle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, on May 25, 1986; and a daughter, Joan Reihman.

Johanna Louise Elizabeth Kippenhan was born Nov. 21, 1913, in South Amana, the daughter of Adam J. and Emilie Heinemann Kippenhan. She received her education in the Middle Amana School and she married John F. Reihman on June 4, 1938, in Middle Amana. Besides being a homemaker, Jennie owned and operated the Amana Neckties Factory for many years. She was a member of the Amana Church Society.
