Williamsburg–Elenora Ella Kozishek was born March 19, 1905 on the home farm in Pilot Township, west of Williamsburg, the daughter of Albert and Mary Pitlick Hradek. On January 11, 1926, she was united in marriage to James W. Kozishek at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Williamsburg. They started married life on the farm west of Williamsburg and had two sons, Albert J. and David P. James died November 17, 1968. Elenora continued to live on the farm, where she enjoyed being an outside person and worked many hours with livestock and farm work. In later years, she was happiest tending to her garden, extensive flower beds and farmstead grooming. She always enjoyed her grandchildren and visitors, always feeling obligated to serve a lunch, especially home baked kolaches, cinnamon Rolls or cookies. Elenora became a resident of the Colonial Manor in Amana in February of 2005. She died peacefully at the Colonial Manor after a short illness at the age of 100 years, 10 months and 1 day. Elenora is survived by her son: David (Doris) Kozishek of Williamsburg; four grandchildren: Robert (Helen) Kozishek of Williamsburg, Barbara (Harve) Robinson Masonville, Diane Kozishek of Lombard, Illinois and David M. Kozishek of Galveston, Texas; two great grandchildren: Brett Kozishek of Iowa City and Michelle (Modou) Guey of Milan, Missouri and a great great granddaughter: Abigail Guey. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband a son Albert and his wife Pearle and a sister Effie Fant. Funeral Mass will be10:30 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2006 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Williamsburg. Fr. Joseph Roost will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 7:00pm at the Uhlmann-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg were there will be a prayer service at 6:30 pm. Memorials are for St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund or Masses.
