Master Sergeant Alan L. Page, 77, of Ankeny, and formerly of Marengo, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery in Adel, Iowa.
Alan was born on February 23, 1947, to Donald and Velma (Cyr) Page. He grew up in Fort Fairfield, Maine. Alan attended and graduated from Fort Fairfield High School in 1966. Following school, he joined the Air Force. On April 22, 1967, he married his high school sweetheart Glenda Theriault. The couple lived all over the world while Alan served his country. He was stationed in Thailand, England, Germany, and North Dakota. While on active duty he served as a mechanic and then an Air Force recruiter. In 1988, Alan retired from the Air Force and his family moved to Marengo, Iowa. Alan then went on and worked as a car salesman for many years. In 2021, Alan and Glenda moved to Ankeny, Iowa.
Alan loved; spending time with his family, camping, eating sweets and cookies, eating grilled cheese and French fries, Long John Silver’s, spending time with his dog Sophie, talking with strangers, visiting with his neighbors, and flag poles flying Ol’ Glory.
Those left to cherish his loving memory are his wife, Glenda Page; children Doug Page and Betsey (Denny) Davis; grandchild Emmalynn Rhodes; siblings Ruth (Herm) Turcotte and Mary Wasson; sister-in-law Jackie Page; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Gloria Maw, Kenneth Page, and Gary Page.
