Lonnie R. Jack of Victor, IA passed away in his home on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024 at the age of 68.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Victor Memorial Cemetery. Lonnie’s Family invites friends for a reception, following the graveside, at Victor American Legion, held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, June 27.

Lonnie was born in Belle Plaine, IA on February 5th, 1956 to William “Lowell” Jack and Phyllis Joan Slaymaker Jack. Following graduation from HLV, he married his kindergarten sweetheart Donna Kochuyt Jack on March 8th, 1975 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church. They resided in Victor, Ladora, then back to rural Victor. Lonnie worked at Miracle, Iowa Erosion, and retired from Amana Refrigeration in 2005.

In February 1976, Lonnie and Donna were blessed with their first daughter Mandy. In March of 1978 came their second daughter, Erica. And in August 1982 came their third daughter, Cari. The girls have many memories of Lonnie teaching them how to work outdoors, to drive, and how to have a good time. He loved listening and singing to music, sharing that with his family, working with his hands, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends in his shop. His grandchildren have fond memories of him giving them rides on his Cushman and 4 wheeler.

He is survived by his wife Donna of Victor, his three daughters: Mandy (Danny) Dickel of Marengo, Erica Sherman of Cedar Rapids, and Cari (Brian) Jack of Milford, 14 grandchildren: Wesley, Austin, Logan, Mackenzie, Alexander, Jalyn, Hayden, Finnigan, Judah, Charalesa, Jillian, Jessie, Dustin and Emily, and 14 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers: Terry (Vicki) Jack, Doug (Erika) Jack, 1 sister: Dana (Dean) Rickels, 1 brother in law: Dan Stowell, 1 aunt: Nancy Weisskopf, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father: Lowell Jack, his mother: Phyllis Jack, his brother: Randy Jack, his sister: Diane Stowell and his niece: Danelle Stowell, and his best fur friend Eli.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to family for a future dedication.
