On Tuesday, February 14, 2023 Randal (Randy) Lown, loving father, passed away at the age of 72.

Randy was born November 4, 1950, in Sigourney, Iowa. He was the first-born son of Stanley and Bevaline (Stewart) Lown. He graduated from English Valleys High School and received his associate’s degree from Kirkwood Community College.

He is survived by two daughters Ryann (Alex) Lehnertz of Bolingbrook, IL and Ashley (Mike) Cauliflower of Lithia, FL; his four Grandchildren Victoria, Savannah, Ethan, and Sasha; his mother Bev Lown of North English; a brother Ron (Kendra) Lown of Walford; a nephew Brian (Natasha) Lown; and two nieces Jamie (Jerome) Young and Breanne (Adolfo) Benitez.

He was preceded by his father; two brothers Roger and Rick Lown; and a nephew Brad Lown.

Randy always talked about growing up on the farm and all the life lessons he learned fixing things, raising all the different animals, and riding horses. He especially loved his pony Sparkles, which was a gift from his grandfather at the age of 4. After obtaining his associates degree, he had a long career as a salesman in the steel industry and ended his career selling sports and school photography. Whether helping coach, being the loudest cheerleader in the stands, or just helping them practice, Randy was always involved with his girls. He especially loved meeting new people and talking their ears off if given the chance. Upon retirement, Randy loved to spend his free time with his grandchildren, riding his motorcycle, relaxing and watching sports, and also helping work on his daughter's house.

Celebration Of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, February 20, 2023 at Powell Funeral Home in North English. Burial will be in the North English Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
