Karen K. Von Lienen, age 82, of Marengo, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo. Visitation: 1-4 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. lnurnment will be at the Marengo Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.

Karen is survived by her son Randy (Amber) Von Lienen, her daughter Kathy Koski; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Kari) Von Lienen, Robert Von Lienen, Rachel (Cody) Coffin, Renae Von Lienen (Tom Estrada), Nathen Von Lienen, Brittney Von Lienen, Heather (Travis) Wilming and Kali (Andrew) D’Agostino; 14 great-grandchildren Natalie, Kylee, Nikole, Marx, Raegan, Emma, Aubry, James, Hunter, Grace, Olivia, Easton, Maddie and Colton; her brother Eddie (Rita) Parvin; and her sister Susan Spidle.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Betty Parvin; her loving husband Ronald in 2019; her son Scott Von Lienen; and her brother Clifford “Skip” Parvin.

Karen Kay Parvin was born March 28, 1940, in Iowa County, Iowa. She graduated from Amana high school. Karen was united in marriage to Ronald Von Lienen on March 14, 1959, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Conroy.

Karen enjoyed fishing, cooking, and baking. She especially loved her chocolate and candy. She always looked forward to decorating for the holidays. Karen was a social butterfly, and her joy was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and spending time with them.
