Marsha Kay Newhouse, 74, of Robins, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at CountryHouse Residence in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 31 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.

Marsha was born May 28, 1948, the daughter of William (Marion) and Elaine Cram. She was raised in North English and graduated from English Valleys High School, attended Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana and received her associates degree from Kirkwood College. She was a preschool teacher for many years and a teachers associate with Grant Wood AEA until her retirement. She attended Grace Brethern Church (CR Grace) and served as a Sunday School and Children’s Church teacher for several years.

Marsha is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kelly; two sons, Todd (Joy) and Chad (Molly), both of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Hannah of Ames, Carter and Lilly of Cedar Rapids, and Emma, Sophie and Will of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by a sister, Merna (Don) Sellers, of Cedar Rapids; brother-in-law, Gerald Clemmens of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Muriel Kirkpatrick of Lincoln City, Oregon, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marsha was preceded in death by her brother, David; sister-in-law, Marcia Clemmens and a brother-in-law, Jerry Kirkpatrick.

Marsha thoroughly enjoyed attending all of her grandkid’s activities. She also enjoyed traveling, biking, flower gardening, Wheel of Fortune, and crosswords. She loved Jesus and was looking forward to being with Him, her parents and brother in heaven.

She received loving care for dementia at CountryHouse for the last five months.

Memorials may be made in her honor to CR Grace or a memory care organization of your choosing.
