Anthony “Tony” Allen Pardun, 75 of Cedar Rapids, died after a battle with cancer on Friday, June 24, 2022 at his home. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Bear Creek Church 8:30-10:00 am with graveside services to follow at 10:15, the Celebration of Life will continue with Brandon Cruise later in the day.

Tony is survived by his mother, Patricia Pardun of Independence; three children, Stephenie (Scott) Miller of Vinton, Valerie (Bret) Crowley of Coralville and Anthony (Amalie) Pardun of Simi Valley, CA.; two sisters, Paulette Pardun of Cedar Rapids and Pam Dunlap of Ft. McCoy, FL.; 7 grandchildren, Nathan (Maria), Lena (Ryan), Rhea (Mitch), Orion, Aiden (Taylor), Anthony and Khaleesi; 4 great grandchildren, Kalen, Macy, Kelan and Maddy; and special friend, Shirley Cromer.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Glenn.

Anthony was born on February 12, 1947 in Independence the son of Glenn and Patricia Smith Pardun. He graduated in 1965 from Washington High School, Vinton. Tony enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1967 and served until 1968 during the Vietnam War. On January 14, 1967 he married Nancy Lorenz at Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart. Three children came from that union, Stephenie, Valerie and Anthony. Tony partnered with his father in the family farm business. He also worked at Stein Seed Farm, Kinzy Manufacturing, and was a CDL truck driver. Tony was a former Legion Commander of the Vinton American Legion Post 57.

Tony was an avid outdoorsman which included water, snow, and hunting activities. He was a talented dancer and would attend dancing events with his dance group Something Else. Tony loved all cars and wouldn’t miss the chance to attend a car show or cruise.
