Margaret Ann Murrin Christiano, 96, of Tequesta, Florida, formerly of DeKalb, IL. and Parnell, Iowa passed February 5, 2022.

Margaret graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She went on to earn her BSN (Loras College) and MSN (Boston University). She was an instructor and nurse anesthetist at Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She moved to DeKalb in 1968 and earned the rank of associate professor in the school of nursing at Northern Illinois University until her retirement to Florida in 1982.

She is survived by step-daughters Laura Meehan (Kevin) and Lola Hartford, daughter-in-law Marilyn Seitzinger Hubbard, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband John G. Christiano, her brothers, Rev. Joseph Dean and William P. Murrin (Ellen), sister Mary Beatrice Murrin, step son John. P Christiano and son-in-law John F. Hartford.

Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 AM on February 14, 2022, at Christ the Teacher University Parish, 512 Normal Road in DeKalb. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of mass at 9:30 AM at the church.
