Clair J. Marner, 90, of Shipshewana, IN, died at 10:45 pm on Saturday, January 22 at his residence. He was born on December 12, 1931, in Parnell, IA, to John E. and Lydia (Yoder) Marner. On October 30, 1955, in Conneaut Lake, PA, he married Juanita Miller, she survives.

Survivors in addition to his wife are son, Ron Marner of Middlebury, IN; three daughters, Linda Yoder of Plymouth, IN, Karen (Mike) Unternahrer of Middlebury, IN, Deb (Clint) Kauffman of Winamac, IN; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth (Joe) Kanagy of Wellman, IA; brother, Marvin (Helen) Marner of Hills, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Verda, Lucille, and Lois Marner; a brother, Lowell Marner.

Clair was a farmer and truck driver. He graduated from Iowa Mennonite School and was a member of Shore Church. He enjoyed woodworking and attending to his flower garden and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will hold private services. Burial will be at a later date in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana, IN. Memorials may be given to Rainbow Years Learning Ministry, 7235 West 100 North, Shipshewana, IN 46565 or Students International, PO Box 990, Visalia, CA 93279.
