Margaret A. “Marge” Doser, age 90, passed away at the Clarence Nursing Home on Thursday January 13, 2022. Visitation will be held at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence on Tuesday January 18 from 4-7 PM. Masks will be encouraged at the visitation. There will be a private family service, with burial in the Stanwood Cemetery.

Marge was born March 25, 1931 in Festina, Iowa to Antone and Emma Wenthold Lutkenhaus. She married David Doser on May 30, 1953 in Festina, Iowa. He passed away on June 2, 2001.

Surviving Marge are her six sons: Don (Ronda) of Phoenix, AZ, Jim (Conni) of Amana, Mike (Patti) of Mechanicsville, Pat (Kristie) of Solon, Mark (Lisa) of Fairfax, and Steve (Carol) of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren Tony, Kati, Amber, Matthew, Justin, Alex, Jacob, Ryan, Nicole, and Ellie; great grandchildren Cody, Max, and Chloe; Brother Kyran (Bev) Lutkenhaus of Calmar; sister Rose Martin of Cedar Rapids; and her former daughter-in-law Lynn Doser of Lincoln, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister Leosa Meyer.

Marge cherished her time with family, especially the time she spent with her grandchildren. Marge was a beloved staff member at Lincoln High from 1973-1994 where she touched many lives. She was a big Cubs fan, and a sports fan in general. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Mechanicsville, helped start the Stanwood Ambulance program, and was a member of the Stanwood Library Board for many years. Marge loved to crochet and volunteered at the Mechanicsville Elementary School in previous years.
