Austin T. Roth, age 23, of Ladora, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Memorials may be contributed to the family in Austin’s name in care of Kloster Funeral Home, 298 W. Washington St. Marengo, Iowa 52301.

Austin is survived by his father Dale (Melissa) Roth of Ladora, his mother Nikki Hume of Williamsburg; his grandparents Larry (Katy) Roth of Belle Plaine, Anita Palmer of Toledo, Richard “Red” Frimml of Luzerne, Dee Purdin of Belle Plaine, and Jeff and Kim Pfantz of Ladora; and great-grandfather Jerry Purdin Sr. of Marengo.

Also surviving are his siblings Chris Roth of Belle Plaine, Aaron Roth of Williamsburg, Neesa Striegel, Halle Striegel and Sarah Roth all of Ladora; an aunt, Sandi Oxford (Jeff) of Belle Plaine, his stepfather Kevin Hume of Williamsburg; aunts and uncles, Edward Roth of Belle Plaine, Becky (Dwight) Douglas of Belle Plaine, Ted (Shelly) Roth of Cedar Rapids, Donald (Ruthanne) Roth of Utah, Russell (Kaye) Roth of Rowley, Heather (Jacob) Tuttle of Vinton, and Mike Roth of Tama; nephews Weston Roth and Iori Roth of Belle Plaine, and a cousin and best friend Cody Frimml of Newhall. Also surviving are numerous other cousins and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his, grandfather Robert Palmer, great-grandmothers Judy Purdin and Maxine Burns, great-great grandparents Bruce and Marge Border; an aunt Julia Berstler, and an uncle Damian Moore.

Austin True Roth was born February 25, 1998, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Dale Roth and Nikki Frimml. He attended Williamsburg schools and graduated from North English High School in 2016. Austin received an associate degree from Kirkwood Community College in welding. Austin worked as a welder at Ray-Man in Keota and then at Kinze Manufacturing. He also spent time at Lake Iowa Park as a groundskeeper.

In his free time, he was the ultimate outdoorsman. He loved motorcycling and fishing, especially his fishing trips to Devils Lake, North Dakota with Grandpa Red. Austin enjoyed bowhunting, pheasant hunting, and ice fishing on the Drown Farm. He enjoyed trapping and spending time with his family and friends. Austin looked forward to taking trips with his dad and grandpa Jeff to Wisconsin to ride his snowmobile.
