Joyce Earleen Borlin, age 82 of Williamsburg, died Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Highland Ridge Care Center, Williamsburg. Funeral Service: 4 P.M. Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with Rev. Gary Van Heukelom officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Conroy, Iowa. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 4 P.M. Saturday, October 23rd at Kloster Funeral Home. Memorials may be contributed to the family in Joyce’s name.

Joyce is survived by her nephews Larry (Sue) Kahler of Altoona, Barry and (Lori) Kahler of Parnell, and her niece Carol Willits of Williamsburg; several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Shirley Borlin Kahler, a brother-in-law Ivan Kahler and a nephew Wayne Willits.

Joyce was born June 5, 1939, in Williamsburg, Iowa the daughter of Jack and Blossom Olson Borlin. She lived with her father on a farm south of Marengo until his passing. She then went to live at the Iowa County Home for several years. Following her stay there, Joyce spent several years at the Williamsburg Care Center, and then on to Highland Ridge Care Center for the last 13 years. She was one of the first to move into Highland Ridge.

Joyce loved music and sing-a-longs. She enjoyed playing cards, crafts, and Birthday pizza parties. She also loved Santa Claus meetings at Christmas time and enjoyed being with family. She looked forward to her summer vacations at Camp Courageous over the years. Joyce also enjoyed having lifelong family friends, Duane and Darlene Schwarting attend her birthday celebrations. She will be missed.
