Adam Hobert Smalley, 52, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care, Belle Plaine.

Per Adams wishes there will be no funeral service. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.neuhausfuneralservice.com. Hrabeck-Neuhaus Funeral Service is assisting Adams family.

Adam was born in Gresham, OR, the son of Howard and Tressie (Jarvis) Smalley. While Adam was young, he moved with his family to Cedar Rapids, IA where he attended Jefferson High School. Then moving to Luzerne, IA where he attended Belle Plaine High School. On August 25, 2007 Adam married Virginia Miller together they lived in Belle Plaine.

Adam enjoyed computers, fishing, hunting and shooting sports, he was a member of NRA and a certified concealed to carry instructor.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Smalley of Belle Plaine; son, Buck Grawat of Belle Plaine; daughter, Ardella (Marcus Coleman) Bennett of Belle Plaine; brothers, Paul (Chris) Smalley of Wellman, Steve Smalley of Cedar Rapids, Frank (Julie) Smalley of Atkins, Matt (Dana) Smalley of Cedar Rapids, Nelson Smalley, Ben (Mary) Smalley of Oregon, Mark (Janet) Smalley of Nevada; sister, Angela (Roy) Callahan of California; three grandkids; two great-grandkids; and many more family and friends.

Adam was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, John Smalley.
