Jay L. Miller, age 58 of Solon died at his home on September 8, 2020, of natural causes.

Jay Logan Miller was born November 14, 1961, in Sigourney, Iowa the son of Dr. Larry and Johnette “Jonnye” Miller. Jay graduated from English Valley High School and then attended Luther College in Decorah. He married Sara J. Berg June 13, 1987, in Sigourney.

Jay was the life of the party and could make friends anywhere he went. He loved to talk, was endlessly generous, and was never short on helpful advice or stories. He loved spending his time traveling the world with family and friends, hanging out with the family dogs, tinkering in the garage on his motorcycles or criticizing Iowa’s play calls, and enjoying a good happy hour with his Big Grove family. He was so, so loved and will be missed!

His family includes his wife, Sara Miller of Solon; their children, Myles Miller of Minneapolis, Molly Miller (Shane) of Tampa, and Moriah (Matt) Levin of Omaha; their German “kids” Christian Bauer, Jojo van Megern, and Johanna Metz; Jay’s siblings, Jan (Ed) Sauter, Jeff (Anne) Miller, Joel Miller, and Jill Millar; cousin/“little brother” Mike Keene; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

His family are not planning any public services due to the Covid virus.
