Donald Lee Enochson, age 75, of Marengo, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Unity Point St. Lukes, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Fireside Winery, rural Williamsburg.

A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Don is survived by his wife Kay; three children Tara (Marty) Hahn, of New Prague, MN, Troy (Brandy), of Marengo and Kelli (David) Peed, of Temecula, CA; six grandchildren, Beau and Brice Enochson, Bridger and Karly Hahn and Dylan and Allison Peed; two great grandchildren Kade and Ryker Enochson; two siblings Gaylen (Linda) Enochson, of Webster, NY and Lori Huedepohl, of Marengo. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Don was born July 25, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Donald H. and Dorothy M. (Wyant) Enochson. He attended the Conroy Schools and graduated from Iowa Valley High School in 1963. On August 20, 1966, he was united in marriage to Kathryn “Kay” Hagen. They made their home in Marengo.

Don worked construction as a superintendent from 1968 until his retirement in 2012 from Foley Construction. We all loved his one liners and sarcasm. He enjoyed NASCAR, golfing, pitching horseshoes and watching westerns.

He and Kay cherished their travels with friends and their winters in the Southwest. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and his beloved dog Trip.
