Janet Isabel Kingland died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at her home in North English at the age of 60 years.

A casual Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. There will be a time for sharing and remembering at 2:30 pm on Friday.

Burial will be held at a later date in Hampton, Iowa in hopes that Janet will be laid to rest next to her mother, Mary (Graves) Kingland. A general memorial fund has been established. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com

Janet Isabel Kingland from Forest City, Iowa, was born January 29, 1960. She is the daughter of Richard Wayne Kingland and Mary Isabel (Graves) Kingland. She graduated from Hamilton Business College in legal secretary studies in 1991.

Janet has lived in the North English community for the last several years next to her loving brother, Jeff Kingland. She enjoyed socializing, traveling, listening to music (especially classic rock), playing online games, spending time outdoors, her dog Sadie and generally having a good time.

Janet is survived by her children Travis Rhatigan and Jennifer Worden of Idaho and Vanessa Hyde of Des Moines; five grandchildren: Henley, Mila, Jude, Kylie and Ryker; two brothers: Jeff Kingland of North English and John Kingland of Forest City, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jason Kingland.
