Cynthia Ann Scandridge, 83, of Victor, died on January 24, 2020, at Windmill Manor in Coralville.

A memorial service has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 7th, at the Smith Funeral Home in Victor. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

The Scandridge family will greet family and friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations in Cynthia Scandridge’s honor may be made to Hospice Compassus, 5005 Bowling Street Southwest Suite B, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404.

Cynthia (Cy) Scandridge was born on June 8th, 1936 on her family farm south of Victor, the daughter of Dale Williams and Elnora Beeh Williams. She graduated from Victor High School in 1954.

On June 12th 1955 she was united in marriage to Dale Scandridge at the Fundamental Gospel Church, rural Marengo. They made their home on the family farm 6 miles south of Ladora where they lived for 64 years and raised 3 children.

Cynthia enjoyed the outdoors working in her flower beds. She enjoyed collecting antiques, crafting, traveling, and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes boys’ basketball.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents and step father Clifford Refer.

Cynthia is survived by her husband Dale, son Stuart and wife Julie; daughter Sydney and husband Jim Fosmoe; son Mason and partner Ken Evans. Grandchildren, Megan Solis and husband Martin, Cari Turner and husband Jon, Chris Scandridge and wife Somer, Jordan DeBerry, Adam DeBerry and wife Andi, Rachel McFall and husband Blake. Great grandchildren, Blake Thomas, Bryce Miles, Madison and Hudson Scandridge, Max and Micah Solis, Emma and Analeigh Turner, Mia DeBerry, Abigail DeBerry, Gene and Farrah McFall. Brother Chuck Refer and wife Linda; Aunt Sandra Golightly and husband Bill; Sister-in-law Naomi Lacy; Sister-in-law Sandy Taylor and husband Donny; Brother-in-law Bob Van Vlair and wife Debbie; Niece Cybil Macintosh and husband Matt and their children Alex and Leigh.
