Richard (Rick) Hagen, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester at the age of 65.

Celebration of Life Service was 10:30 am on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery near Homestead.

Visitation was Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home. A general memorial has been established. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com

Richard (Rick) Hagen, Jr. was born May 7, 1954 the son of Richard and Lillian (Roemig) Hagen. He graduated from Williamsburg High School and Iowa State University. Rick was united in marriage to Joyce Kruse on August 22, 1987 at St. John's Lutheran Church near Homestead.

He worked for Nutrien Ag Solutions in Dyersville. Rick enjoyed golfing, gardening, playing Wii and spending time on their deck watching the birds and squirrels.

He is survived by his wife Joyce; his mother, Lillian Hagen of Williamsburg; two brothers, Blake Hagen of Middletown and Scott (Denise DeLorme) Hagen of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sisters, Patricia (Gary) Coleman of Iowa City and Shelly Blaylock of Tiffin and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother-in-law Robin Blaylock.
