Warran Alan Frahm, 61, of Victor, died on January 11, 2020, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City after years of battling chronic health issues.

Visitation with the family present was held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15th, at the Smith Funeral Home in Victor. A celebration of life service with words of comfort, prayer and stories to story about Warran followed at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Kolesar, St. James Lutheran Church in Victor, officiating. Pallbearers were Jeremiah Frahm, Cody Frahm, Beau Jack, Phil Kriegel, Mark Cooling, and Scott Crisman. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Victor Memorial Cemetery.

Warran was born on February 11, 1958, in Iowa City, the son of John Henry and Sandra Mae Bidwell Frahm. He was raised on a farm in rural Poweshiek County where he helped his parents on the farm and with the Parcel delivery truck. He was a 1977 graduate of BGM High School. He was employed at Brooklyn Building Center for many years, Kinze Manufacturing, and various jobs in between.

In 1982, he was united in marriage to Margo DeDecker and to this union they had two children, Jeremiah and Britni. They were later divorced.

On June 1, 1991, he was united in marriage to Traci Jacoby, at the Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn. A union of 28 years and together they had one son, Cody. The couple lived in Brooklyn for several years prior to moving to Victor in 1998.

Warran was a sports enthusiast; he was very passionate and dedicated to his family’s sporting events. He was their biggest fan and supporter! He loved traveling, especially to Colorado to the Rocky Mountains and Yellowstone National Park. He enjoyed the outdoors including camping, deer and pheasant hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. Warran was a supporter of his friend, Mark Cooling at his racing events and was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Cubs. Watching western movies, especially with John Wayne, along with the History and Military channels were some of his favorite TV programs. Warran was a lot of fun to hang out with and he enjoyed being a jokester!

Survivors include his wife, Traci of Victor; three children, Jeremiah (Kim) Frahm, Britni (Beau) Jack, and Cody Frahm, all of Victor; six grandchildren, Nyla and Hope Frahm, and Bryer, Bryndal, Brystal, and Bowyn Jack; and four siblings, Cindy (Rick) Kinzenbaw of Marengo, John Michael (Dixie) Frahm of Brooklyn, Dwayne Frahm of Tama, and Colleen Frahm (Dennis) of Atalissa; and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Briggs Jack, his paternal and maternal grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

Memorial contributions may be designated to the Warran A. Frahm Memorial Fund.
