Steven Ray Montague, 67, of Amana, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, near his home. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 1,
at Stonebridge Church, Cedar Rapids, with a eulogy shared at the end of the evening by Pastor Robin Tyner.

Steve was born Oct. 31, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Brown Montague and Aileen Belden Montague.

He received his education in the Norway schools, graduating from Norway High School in 1969. He attended auto repair school, then worked as a self-employed truck driver, and later as a trucking dispatcher and instructor. He was a lifelong resident of the Norway and Amana area.

Steve is survived by his children, Brown (Valerie) Montague and Leigh (Tim) Moore of Cedar Rapids; a stepson, Brian Shifflett of Sigourney; his sister, Linda Copley of Mesquite, Nev.; two granddaughters, Shelby and Peyton; and stepgrandson, Alec Shifflett.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie (Smith) Montague; his parents; and siblings, David and Billie.
