Dwain A. (Curly) Wolter, Jr., age 57, of South Amana, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Colonial Manor in Amana. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., January 14, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Homestead, with Pastor Zachary Voss officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Homestead.

Visitation: 2 to 5 P.M., Sunday, January 13, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Homestead. A memorial fund has been established in Dwain’s name. Kloster Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dwain is survived by his parents; a daughter Amber; two brothers Greg (Audry) and Mark, of South Amana; three nieces Eleanor, Josie and Paige; and a nephew Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Dwain was born June 26, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Dwain Sr. and Carolyn Zabloudil Wolter. He attended the Lutheran Interparish School, Williamsburg and graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1979.

After graduation, Curly was employed at Meyers Feed/Elevator and Hawkeye Foods. He moved to Tennessee and worked at Kel San for 14 years. He enjoyed driving truck and seeing the country. Curly liked baseball and playing cards, and loved the Oakland Raiders and Iowa Hawkeyes.
