Lois (Kelley) Carter was born as a triplet, on June 21, 1926, west of North English, to Ray "Dick" and Wanda (Seaton) Kelley. She passed away June 15, 2019 at the English Valley Care Center in North English, at the age of 92 years, six days before her 93rd birthday.

Lois went to country school and graduated from North English High School in 1944. On May 25, 1948, she married Don Carter. They farmed outside of North English and moved to town in 1978. Don passed away August 27, 1987.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Carter of Columbia, MO; sons Stephen (Pam) Carter of Washington, Richard Carter of Somers, MT and Gary (Diane) Carter of North English; six grandchildren Cara, Chris, Travis, Fin, Michael and Nick; five great grandchildren Mercedes, Cori, Sadie, Jude and Jocci; one great, great granddaughter Leeda; and a brother Robert Kelley of North English. She was preceded in death by her husband Don; a grandson Tony; her parents and four sisters Thelma "Pat" Greenlee, Helen Wilkerson and her two other triplet sisters Lucille Denison and Louise (in infancy).

Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Burial will be in the North English Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Memorials maybe given for the North English Fire Department and the North English QRS.
