Funeral service for Virginia M. Hepker, 100, North English, formerly of Marengo, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 7, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. She died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the English Valley Care Center.
The Rev. Eddie Thomas will officiate at the service.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Dunkard Cemetery, Midway.
Memorials may be contributed to the Nazarene World Missions.

Virginia May Hepker was born April 1, 1918, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of William Lee and Amiee Haak Lee. She attended several schools in New Mexico, Denver, Colorado and graduated from the Cedar Rapids Schools.
She married Warren Charles Hepker on Dec. 28, 1938, at the Free Methodist Church in Toddville. They moved to Marengo in 1961 where they family owned and operated Gambles Hardware Store. She was a housewife and a mother, and later did bookwork for the ambulance and hearse company.
Virginia was very active in the Church of the Nazarene in Marengo. She served on the church board and taught Sunday School. She received a distinguished service award from the church. She enjoyed sewing, reading and was a Cubs fan.
Virginia is survived by four daughters, LaVonne Hinkle, California; Ellen (David) Ewing, North Carolina; Jean Hepker, Mt. Pleasant, and Janice (Jim) Hoylman, Webster; a daughter-in-law, Jan Hepker; 10 grandchildren, Bryce, Tadd, Kara, Brenda, Meridith, Jeremiah, Melinda, Tonya, Alisa and Serena; 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren, in 2004; a daughter, Carol Jean in infancy; a son, Kenneth, and granddaughter, Theresa.
