Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Lillis passed away March 11, 2005, in Wheat Ridge, Colo., after a short illness. A memorial service will be held at 6 tonight at The Asbury Bell Tower, 3011 Vallejo, Denver, Colo.
He is survived by daughter, Jana Teal (Brent) of Thornton, Colo.; son, John Lillis of Denver, Colo.; mother, Catharine Lillis of Williamsburg; brothers, Mike of Grand Junction, Colo., Bob of Williamsburg and Ed of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Ann of Williamsburg and Mag of Iowa City; and five nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Larry was born to Wilfrid Michael Lillis and Catharine Murrin Lillis on Nov. 7, 1942, in Williamsburg, Iowa. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1961 and attended St. Ambrose College and the University of Iowa, where he majored in accounting. He married Marjorie Fry in Iowa City on Oct. 8, 1966. In December 1972, the family moved to Denver, Colo., where Larry established Lillis & Company, an accounting firm which he had owned and operated for 32 years.
